Terms of Service
Last updated 3 August 2026
Adventurefy is a game that turns your real-life to-do list into a role-playing game. These terms are the agreement between you and us. Please read them, by using Adventurefy you are agreeing to them.
Adventurefy is operated by IDK Studios, Inc. (“Adventurefy”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@adventurefyapp.com.
1. Who can use Adventurefy
You must be 13 or older to use Adventurefy. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use it with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Adventurefy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
2. Your account
You can start playing as a guest, without giving us an email address. A guest account lives in the browser you created it in. If you clear your browser data, or switch device, that account and its progress may be unrecoverable. Adding an email address is what makes an account portable, and we strongly recommend it before you spend real money.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Sign-in is by emailed link, so keep control of your email address.
3. What you write in the app
Your quests, habits and notes are yours. We do not claim ownership of them. You grant us only the permission we need to actually run the service, to store your content, show it back to you, and show the parts you deliberately share (for example, activity visible to a party you join) to the people you share them with.
Please do not use Adventurefy to store anything unlawful, or anything you would not want stored on a third-party service.
4. Fair use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or use Adventurefy to harm, harass or impersonate anyone;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our infrastructure;
- interfere with the game economy, including automating play, exploiting bugs for gain, or abusing payments and refunds to obtain gems you have not paid for;
- resell, or attempt to resell, accounts or virtual items.
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things, including forfeiting virtual items obtained through them.
5. Gems and other virtual items
Gems, gold, equipment and other in-game items are a limited, personal license to use them inside Adventurefy. They are not your property, have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred or sold outside the game.
Gems can be bought with real money. Gold and other items are earned by playing. Buying gems does not buy action steps: gems cannot be used to attack a boss. Progress comes from doing things in real life.
We may change item prices, balance, and how items behave, as any game does. We may also discontinue an item. If we do this in a way that removes something you paid real money for and have not used, contact us and we will sort it out.
6. Payments, subscriptions and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. You agree to Stripe’s terms when you pay.
What is free, and what is not. Quests, habits, gold, the shop and leveling up your character are free forever, and so is the whole of the first arc of the story, including its boss and re-fighting it. A subscription is required only to continue the adventure into the later chapters. Your data and progress stay in your account whether or not you subscribe.
Price and renewal. A subscription costs $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year in US dollars, plus tax where it applies. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged each time, until you cancel. We will tell you before any price change, and a price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
How to cancel.You can cancel at any time from the billing page inside the app, which opens Stripe’s customer portal — the same place you can update your card. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not charge a cancellation fee. If you cannot reach the billing page for any reason, email us and we will cancel it for you.
Subscription payments are otherwise non-refundable except where the law says otherwise, but we would rather fix a problem than argue about it, so please contact us if something has gone wrong.
A subscription and gems are separate purchases. Subscribing does not grant gems, and buying gems does not grant a subscription.
Gem purchases are generally final, because the gems are delivered to your account immediately. If you have a problem with a purchase, email us, we would rather fix it than argue about it.
If a payment is refunded or reversed, the gems it bought are removed from your account. This includes refunds we issue and chargebacks raised with your bank. If you have already spent those gems, your balance can go negative, and you will need to bring it back to zero before buying anything else in the game. This is deliberate: it stops a refund becoming a way to get gems for free.
Nothing here limits any statutory right to a refund you may have where you live.
7. The service will change
Adventurefy is under active development. Features will be added, changed and removed, and the game will be balanced and rebalanced. We may suspend the service for maintenance, and we may stop offering it entirely, if we ever shut down, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
8. Ending things
You can stop using Adventurefy at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy, some financial records must be kept).
We may suspend or close your account if you materially break these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first.
9. No warranty
Adventurefy is provided “as is”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will make you more productive. It is a game attached to your to-do list, not a medical, therapeutic or professional service, and it should not be relied on as one.
Keep your own records of anything that matters. We take backups seriously, but you should not treat Adventurefy as the only copy of important information.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Adventurefy is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Adventurefy after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
